The Digitone is a modern FM synthesizer with playful sound design concept and a clever sequencer. It combines FM sound generation with classic subtractive synthesis to open new worlds of sound. Its sequencer offers tracks for the internal sound engine and external MIDI equipment. With up to eight voice polyphony, complete songs can be created!
The Digitone is an eight-voice FM synthesizer.
The sequencer offers four synth tracks and four MIDI tracks, with one arpeggiator per track. Thanks to individual track length, parameter locks, micro-timing, trig conditions and sound per step, complex sound events can be programmed.
Various FM algorithms are available for sound generation. For sound editing, each voice contains a multimode filter, a special "base-width filter", an overdrive and two assignable LFOs.
Since 1998, Swedish company Elektron has been building serious equipment for musicians. The samplers, drum machines, synthesizers and effects units are highly regarded. Bedroom producers to professional musicians are among the customers.
