Filters

A filter lowers lower and/or higher frequencies in its volume at a cut-off frequency to be set. The intensity of the "resonance" can usually also be adjusted at the cut-off frequency, which can act like feedback by amplifying the cut-off frequency until it oscillates itself. In certain cases the self-oscillating filter can be used like an oscillator, as it is often used in drum synthesizers.
