Dreadbox - Murmux Adept Edition

It is THAT sound. Makes you feel at home immediately. Murmux Adept Edition is a simple (?), simply very good sounding analog Polysynth (+FX)!

The Dreadbox team collected quite some experience in designing analog circuitry over the years. To create a stunning synths this is only half of the eqation. The other half is the interface and functionality. Prophet 5 is still much loved becuase of its simple, effective layout (and genious circuitry). That was also the goal of Dreadbox when they started designing Murmux Adept Edition. This is why this synth follows a strict One Knob per funtion rule with clever, functional twists in the Osc, Mix and also FX section. Assigning Modulations is just as effective. In every section you have knobs that will add a different source depending on the direction.

There are numerous smaller details: LFO1 is polyphonic, meaning very voice has one. While LFO2 is global. There is a Spread Knob in the Master section, which you will use all the time. And then there  is a Cut/Boost Knob in the Filter section. In essence this is a 6db Highpass or 6db Lowpass Boost and largely responsible for Murmux character. Envelope characteristics and ranges are another thing contributing to the overall sound. Very often neglected, we can report in this case: spot on!

The crowning for this Adept is the FX section. It "deserved" a BBD Multi-Effect (Chorus/Flanger/Comb) and a Princeton Delay, whose sound is definetely not on the clean side but again >spot on<. Add these to the mix and enter the realm of warm, warbling waves. In Stereo. Murmux Adept Edition is a super synth, yet a limited one. We have to say: Try one while stock lasts.
