The A-142-3 combines a VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier) with the voltages that control it in a mere 4 HP. What would otherwise require several modules and cables becomes child’s play here. So you can concentrate on the things that really matter…
The VCA section is kept relatively simple: a linear VCA, up to 5V, which can reduce the amplitude of audio signals. The VCA is controlled via the internally generated voltage. This means you can choose to use an AD or AR envelope, or an LFO, to control the signal amplitude. The CV signal is also output for use elsewhere, and a button allows you to trigger the envelope with your finger instead of using gates.
All in all, a great module that actually finds use in every patch.
