The expansion module for the Doepfer A-126-2 Frequency Shifter adds the access to internal sub-units of the module: Dome filter outputs 1 and 2, ring modulator 1 and 2, up shift out, down shift out, envelope out.
The separate up and down outputs can be used e.g. for stereo effects, especially with low frequency shifting frequencies. The ring modulator and up/down outputs can also be used for feedback applications where these signals are added to the audio input by means of a mixer at the A-126-2 input. Even very special self-oscillation functions are possible when these outputs are used for feedback (without an external input signal). That way the A-126-2 becomes an oscillator with very strange waveforms. Great for experimentation!
