The Program Manager Card for the Buchla Easel series allows users of the devices to conveniently store and manage their presets.
The card for the Californian synth powerhouse is compatible with Easel Command, 208c and also for the soon-to-be-released new Music Easel. It stores sounds created on the Easel and makes them accessible in remote mode. This makes it quick and easy to recall them for live performances or to capture an idea. There are 48 program memory slots available, which are filled with classic Buchla sounds but can also be replaced by your own creations. The Program Manager software serves as a library for managing the presets and as a programming/control interface that communicates with the 208 Voice via USB. Older Easels/208s (before 2018) are also compatible with the Program Manager Card after a small soldering modification.

Pioneering synthesizer design since the mid 1960s with Morton Subotnick and the San Francisco Tape Center, Don Buchla has been responsible for the invention of the sequencer, low pass gate, random voltage generators and the complex oscillator, among others. Shortly before his passing in 2016, his rights were acquired by Australian holding company BEMI (2012-2017) and since 2018 is operated by Eric Fox of Buchla USA, based in Minnesota. Buchla USA offers the whole 200e series catalog and boats, as well as the iconic Music Easel.
