Sequencers usually generate definable sequences of CV and gate signals. CVs can control any parameter in the system, gate and trigger signals can start envelopes, reset LFOs or trigger any switch. The sequence of the sequences is determined by internal or external "clock", which advances the sequencer one step with each pulse (= trigger).
