Buchla - LEM218 Touch Activated Keyboard
- Order number: 230020
A keyboard classic for the nerds of the modern age! The Buchla LEM218 is a touch-sensitive controller not only for Buchla users!
The LEM218 is basically the keyboard of the Buchla Music Easel as a stand-alone unit. First released in 1973, it has been completely redesigned in this third revision. Now it offers the exciting playing surface, in a reliable and contemporary format. And best of all, it works with Buchla instruments, as well as Eurorack via CV, and also MIDI. The LEM218's redesigned interface is very sensitive, allowing for a versatile keyboard play, with polyphonic MIDI, built-in arpeggiator, and many ways to send control voltages and MIDI CC. You can use pressure as a modulation signal, allowing for more expressive playing. You can tap gently but also press hard, and the configurable touch strip can control any parameter. Portamento and four assignable potentiometers round out the package and offer many possible applications.
Integrate it into a Buchla 200e system, use it as a controller for your Eurorack modules, or use it as a unique MIDI keyboard for pretty much any software/synthesizer. The LEM218 brings back a bit of synthesizer history.
