Buchla - 258 Classic Reissue - Dual Oscillator
- Order number: 220137
The Buchla Classic Reissue of the legendary dual oscillator Model 258.
Redesigned by Roman Filippov (Black Corporation), this Buchla-classic consists of two independent voltage controlled oscillators, just like the original.
Both are continuously tunable from 5 Hz to 20 KHz and each has two CV inputs for frequency, one CV input for the waveform and one input for frequency modulation (all with offset control).
The waveform of the upper oscillator can be shifted from sine to sawtooth, while the one of the lower oscillator can be morphed from sine to square. This makes a wide range of interesting timbres possible.

258 Classic Reissue - Dual Oscillator @Buchla
Pioneering synthesizer design since the mid 1960s with Morton Subotnick and the San Francisco Tape Center, Don Buchla has been responsible for the invention of the sequencer, low pass gate, random voltage generators and the complex oscillator, among others. Shortly before his passing in 2016, his rights were acquired by Australian holding company BEMI (2012-2017) and since 2018 is operated by Eric Fox of Buchla USA, based in Minnesota. Buchla USA offers the whole 200e series catalog and boats, as well as the iconic Music Easel.
