Verbos Workshop 16 Stages 2

Workshop: Verbos Voltage Multistage 16 - creative ways beyond classic sequencing

On 6. November at 7 pm, Mark Verbos of Verbos Electronics will visit us to present his latest creation: the Voltage Multistage 16. This new module expands on the ideas of the original Multistage and offers a fresh approach to complex control and modulation within the Eurorack format.

The new Multistage can be used far beyond the traditional 16-step sequencing concept – the module can generate rhythmic movement, shape modulation, and serve as a dynamic performance tool. The focus is on rethinking sequencing as a fluid, musical control process rather than a fixed note pattern.

The Voltage Multistage is one of the most versatile modules by Verbos Electronics. It was one of the original five modules Verbos Electronics debuted in 2014 and has been in demand ever since.

The Voltage Multistage 16 is not simply a 16 step long version of the classic, it is a reimagining from the core, allowing a whole new world of options. Coinciding with its release, this workshop will allow all those who attend to get their hands on it and learn to use in a multitude of ways. Users of the original Voltage Multistage will also have the opportunity to learn new and interesting ways to use that module as well. This is not a presentation, but a hands-on workshop. We will have several units on hand so that everyone can get some hands-on time.

Verbos Electronics is a Berlin based synthesizer company. Their focus is on interface-driven designs, intended to encourage improvisation, exploration and music making. Members of the Verbos team will work together with users at this workshop to unlock the versatility of their new release.

The workshop offers insights into creative approaches to modular synthesis. It’s an inspiring session for anyone interested in exploring the expressive potential of modular instruments.

The event takes place at SchneidersLaden, Karl-Marx-Str. 186, 12043 Berlin. Admission is free, but registration is recommended as space is limited.

Who should come?

Anyone with a basic knowledge of Eurorack who’s ready to rethink what a sequencer can do. While prior experience is helpful, the emphasis is on creative exploration rather than advanced theory.
