Xerxes is an eight-voice analog synthesizer modeled after the legendary Italian Elka Synthex.
Xerxes is an eight-voice analog synthesizer modeled after the legendary Italian Elka Synthex. In 1981 the Synthex was a very advanced synthesizer with two DCO's per voice, pulse amplitude modulation and multimode filter, which was surprisingly stable even with FM modulation with high index. Xerxes extends this concept with modern MPE integration and a preset management system and comes in a dreamlike stable design as you would expect from Black Corporation. Features: 8-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer 2 discrete logic DCOs per voice analog HP/BP/LP filter 2 LFOs 2 ADSRs polyphonic velocity and aftertouch full support for MPE (Midi-Polyphonic Expression) analog BBD stereo choir 4U rack size with removable rack ears and wooden side panels 10 Preset Banks (x128)
