Animal Factory Amplification - Coma Reactor Module v.2

Version 2 of the powerful Coma Reactor is a gritty, dirty echo, but now with a controllable bandpass filter in the feedback path.

This echo effect comes with powerful sonic character and open feedback path, which has now been enhanced with a characterful bandpass filter. The module has the crisp sounds of the PT2399 chip, but offers a number of useful routing options that really enhance it for sound manipulation. Independent volume controls for dry, wet and effects returns allow you to mix clean, delayed and processed sounds to your liking. The module now has two CV inputs: one for delay time and one for cutoff frequency.

The Coma control is an attenuator for the input signal. Low levels can produce funny noises. The input signal is mirrored at the Thru output, for further processing with another module. There are separate Dry and Wet potentiometers to set the desired effect amount, and the delay time ranges from 30 to 2000 ms. It can be controlled manually via the Time knob or by means of control voltage via the MOD input. This CV-Input is equipped with an attenuator and a switch to adjust the modulation intensity. Furthermore, there is an LED that indicates the CV polarity. The delay has a feedback control for controlling the repetitions. When stopped clockwise, self-oscillation is triggered.

Thanks to an integrated send/return path it is possible to feed in external effects. The volume of the external effect is controlled by the return potentiometer. If nothing is patched into the send/return jacks, the delay signal is internally routed through a now controllable twin-T bandpass filter. The signal in question can be fed back into the delay circuit via a dedicated Return Feedback control.
