Analogue Systems - RS8000 cabinet
- Order number: 130042
- Depth: 471
Four-storied wooden cabinet made of finest walnut wood, intended for mounting 3U modules by Analogue Systems. It provides as power supply and a "trink line". Each of the RS8000's four rows offers 84HP space for modules.
The RS 8000 cabinet is a neat 12U desk housing for Analogue Systems Eurorack modules. It is made of walnut and was built skillfully by an English boatbuilder.
It provides space for two rows of each 84 HP: two rows in the upper, straight half and two in the bottom, slightly angled half.
The strong PSU of the cabinet offers enough electricity for the power-hungry AS-modules. Additionally it also offers +5V voltage for modules with digital circuits. The power supply can be switched from 115V to 230V via a switch on the back of the case. In general, it is very clean and professionally designed.
The power distribution on the power supply board offers not only fifteen connectors for Analogue Systems modules but also eight connectors for Eurorack modules.
As the distribution is located only at the very bottom row, VERY long connector cables will be needed in the upper two rows, way longer than these supplied with the modules!

RS-8000 @Analogue Systems
Starting almost in parallel with Doepfer, Bob Williams established back in 1998 his own modular system with fine circuits reminiscent of the British tradition initiated with EMS in the 1970s. Despite offering initially a different power connector and panel width standard (which left a 1,5HP gap), all modules bearing the "N" on their names are adapted to work seamlessly with most eurorack cases. Still, it is worth checking the depth of your case.
