The RS-250 is basically only a faceplate with ten 3.5mm jacks not connected to anything, not even to each other. On the back all contacts are accessible to make your own solder connections.
The module makes sense if you want to send e.g signals from your modular system to sockets located in the back of your case. This is a particularly convenient way to make semi-permanent connections to other devices, especially when your modular is installed in a closed rack.
