Classic, high quality VCA module with logarithmic and linear control inputs. This way the module is suitable to control audio signals as well as CVs. brThanks to a new front panel and bus concept, this version of the RS-180 is fully compatible to Doepfer-style Eurorack systems.
With the "initial level" control you can open the VCA manually which is handy if the modulation signal is bipolar: e.g. when doing a tremolo with a sine wave LFO. Two CV inputs with attenuators are available: The linear one is better when you want to control CV signals or if the modulation signal is a slow LFO. The logarithmic input is more akin to human hearing and recommended when you want to control audio signals and a "natural" response from the envelope.
Two signal inputs make an mixer module obsolete in many cases.
