Over the past few years, AJH's MiniMod modules have been the "go-to" option for authentic Moog-like sounds. MinMod Keyz Synth packs the typical Mini Moog module setup into a case with 49 full-size keys. In true Minimoog fashion, there are three oscillators, noise, a ladder filter, a mixer, VCAs, envelopes and a versatile LFO. The three VCOs are powerful in sound and are rounded out by the ring mod (not traditionally found in the Minimoog), the subharmonics and the tasty ladder filter.
However, this system expands the functionality of the Minimoog immensely, adding a high-pass filter and the Tap Tempo VC-LFO. This LFO lets you apply rhythmic modulations to your sounds that go far beyond the sine wave in no time.
However, the NiftyKEYZ case from Cre8audio delivers many more features! There is of course MIDI, two connectors for pedals, aftertouch, arpeggiator, sequencing, another LFO, two active multiples, plenty of CV and gate outputs with which even quadruple polyphony is possible and still much more.
