ADDAC 713 Stereo Discrete Mixer
- Order number: 220428
- Depth: 40
The ADDAC713 Stereo Discrete Mixer has three stereo and one mono channel/-s and was inspired by the Moog CP3.
Originally, the fully discrete analog mixer was intended to be a mono version for percussive signals, but during the development process it was expanded to a stereo version. The first three channels are stereo and have pan controls for placing the sound sources in the panorama. The fourth channel comes without panning, and is intended for low-end material such as kick drum or bass.
The transistor-based CP3 sound is considered one of the secrets behind the legendary sound of Moog modular systems and enjoys tremendous popularity in the Eurorack-world thanks to its tasty heavy distortion. This can be pushed to the limit by maxing out the four input gain controls. In addition, there is a global feedback/gate control that will let the signal collapse completely in cases of extreme distortion.
A dip switch for soft clipping with three filter variations (Soft Lowpass/Off/Hard Lowpass) can be used to eliminate unwanted clicks, while a Master Output with two LEDs for monitoring perfectly adjusts the signal to the desired sound context.
