ADDAC - 508 Swell Physics

Gentle to stormy waves for your Eurorack system! ADDAC 508 Swell Physics simulates wave movements for endlessly new modulations.

The ADDAC 508 modulation source gives you 4 waves that behave just like waves in the ocean. The exciting part? You can play God and control the waves!

508 is based on Gerstner waves (trochoidal deep-water wave) and allows you to have a massive influence on the resulting waves through its parameters. Imagine a two-dimensional wave with 4 buoys floating sequentially. The height of these buoys corresponds to the voltage level of the generated modulations, either in the range of +/-5V or 0-10V.

You get 4 parameters to control the wave movement. Swell Size sets the maximum height of the waves, i.e., the voltage range in which the modulations can move. Spread adjusts the distance between the buoys, allowing you to control whether the 4 modulations are similar to each other or completely different.
Agitation creates even more movements to achieve more complex results, and Simulation Speed essentially functions like the frequency parameter of an LFO.
Swell Physics can operate in 2 modes (A and B), both delivering different results. Everything is CV-controllable, and Offset, as well as Output Gain, allow you to work even more precisely or clip your waves! Oh, and 2 gate outputs let you trigger random events in your system.
