ACL - EVZ1 Eurorack Case 6U 84 TE with KAZU 2

- Order number: 200238
The EVZ1 6U 84 TE is a compact and light metal case with wooden side panels. A high-end power supply, consisting of KAZU V2 module and EVE 1 low-impedance bus board, guarantees crystal-clear sound. The maximum voltage values from 2000 mA to +12 V and -12 V are twice as high compared to the Kazu (first version). Thanks to high precision and stability, operation near full load is no problem. Planning headroom? Crosstalk? background noise? Background noise? - With this case all topics of the past.
ACL's EVZ1 offers two module installation series with a width of 84 HP each. The KAZU V2 power module is installed on the side, so it does not occupy any of the valuable subunits. The current distribution is taken over by an EVE 1 low-impedance bus board. Up to 20 modules can be connected.
Information about the KAZU-V2 power module:
KAZU V2 is a switch-mode power supply specially developed for modular systems. It can be used with a Flying Bus Board or EVE-1 Bus Board (sold separately). Thanks to extremely low interference and voltage peaks, modules connected to this PSU provide crystal-clear sound. Also worth mentioning is that KAZU V2 hardly heats up even under high load. A protection against short-circuits and overvoltages was of course also implemented.
KAZU V2 offers the following performance data:
+12 V: regulated, filtered. Less than 2 mV fluctuations and noise under full load. Typically 1.5 mV.
-12 V: Regulated, filtered. Less than 2 mV fluctuation and noise at full load. Typically 1.5 mV.
Maximum current output:
1500 mA to +12 V
1500 mA to -12 V
Information about the EVE 1 bus board:
The EVE 1 offers exceptionally low contact resistances between power supply and modules. Couplings between individual circuits and resulting interferences are almost completely eliminated. This is achieved by six-fold layered conductor paths, which take up the complete surface of the board. For +12 V, -12 V and +5 V there is a copper layer for each. The ground even has three layers. High-precision buffer capacitors further enhance the low-noise design.
The EVE 1 offers 20 module connections with polarity-safe tub connectors. They are divided into two rails with ten connectors each. Shielded CV and gate paths according to Doepfer standard can be (de)activated by jumpers. Connection to the KAZU is established via five-pin connectors.
