Acidlab 8SD is an Eurorack drum module featuring the circuitry of the good old TR-808 snare drum.
The SD8 features, like in the original the parameters Level, Snappy and Tone. A decay parameter has been added.
The Gate input is dynamic - the louder the trigger pulse at the input ( 5V to 12V) the more volume and accent the sound has. A cable at the Velocity CV socket overrides the dynamic behavoiur of the gate input but it gives you the possibility to control the velocity by other voltages like envelopes for different dynamics. In this case the gate input will fire the drum and the CV controls velocity.
The analog noise used for generating the snare sound is present at a separate output. A green LED shows activity of the module.
