Developed by the label 99CHANTS, the Aurōra is a solar panel that uses incident light to generate a CV or audio signal, which can be used to control and influence modular gear or synthesizers.
Via its mini-jack output, aurōra can be used as a controller for modular synthesizers or any other instrument with a CV input. The control voltage generated via its solar panel by means of incident light - either randomly or by the user's own physical manipulation - makes aurōra a true random modulation source. The device can also be connected to a speaker to create a sonic representation of the pure voltage of light.
- A solar panel that converts incident light into control voltage.
- Can act randomly or by physical manipulation
- Connected to a loudspeaker will produce a sonic mapping of the pure voltage of the light
