The Percussion Interface is an envelope follower with focus on drums (whether acoustic or electronic) and their synchronization to your CV/gate controlled instruments.
From an incoming signal, gates and envelopes are derived from the rhythm and provided for synchronization with sequencers or other modules. On the main module, the gate signal, the envelope and the inverted envelope are output at full amplitude, while the expander has the same envelopes, but with an attenuator. The threshold value from which a gate is output can be set by the L/M/H switch and the incoming signal can be adjusted or amplified by the sensitivity control. The percussion interface can also be used as a preamp for line signals in parallel to the envelope follower and outputs the amplified signal at the Audio Out jack. The tracking behavior can be adjusted with the Follow/Gen. switch and offers the following possibilities: Follow, allows direct sampling of the input signal and thus a complex envelope. In the Gen. setting, the percussion interface generates envelopes and gates that are consistent with the beat.

Based in Portland (Oregon, US) Dan Green and Jeannot Quenson had a years experience already building guitar pedals. Since one input/output and tone and volume control felt a bit limiting, they applied their knowledge and passion to building a wide range of modules. Their collaboration with Matthias Puech (developer of the Clouds' Parasites alternative firmware) and Gary Hall (designer of the Lexicon PCM42) have proved to be very fruitful.
